Jonathan is the Managing Director and founder of Boss Digital Limited. He is from New Zealand, was born in Thailand and was brought up as an expat in Hong Kong. Jonathan is an expert in digital marketing, website and app development, CRM and loyalty systems. He is passionate about building brands to their fullest potential through creative strategy, supporting them from conception to execution and has a sound understanding of digital consumerism in the Asia-Pacific region.
Jonathan has over 12 years’ experience in the Digital Marketing & CRM field including 7 years’ experience in hotel, clubs and property related industries and is an active member and rugby player for the Hong Kong Football Club. He is qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Tourism, majoring in Strategic Marketing and Strategic Management. Jonathan is a certified ADMA Digital Marketing Strategist, GoogleAnalytics & Adwords professional, trained in computer programming including HTML, CSS, PHP and highly skilled in Digital Strategy, CRM, Email, Social Media, Search Marketing and online advertising disciplines. Jonathan is also a member of the Asian and Australia Direct Marketers Associations.
When Jonathan first started his career he was commissioned by Tourism Dunedin, a destination marketing company, to organize the setup of a booking engine for hotels and tours in Dunedin, New Zealand. Jonathan successfully recruited hotels, tour operators and grew the booking engine with thousands of monthly bookings over 2 years where it was then attracted and brought out by Wotif.com.
During Jonathan’s experience, he has also been responsible for the planning and implementation of 24 managed properties Digital Marketing & CRM activities and meeting hotel managers regularly across APAC. Jonathan managed the development of an award-winning loyalty program, hotel feedback, CRM and complaints management system for the Silver needle Hospitality Group that manage and franchise 80 hotels across Australasia.The system has successfully digitized the feedback process and provides a platform for reporting on hotel performance based on customer feedback across the group. The loyalty program combined with the feedback system is designed to communicate with customers via digital communications at different touch points before, during and after their stay.The systems have improved guest satisfaction across the group, increased booking revenue and reduced staffing costs.
Jonathan founded Boss Digital Limited in September 2009 in Hong Kong and has built a team of experts in his field with offices in Hong Kong, Philippines and representatives in Australia and China, working with a wide range of SME’s and multi-national companies across the Asia-Pacific including the Ladies Recreation Club, Miramar Hotel Group, Flight Centre, Savills, JLL, Philips Electronics, Angloinfo and SCMP.com.
